Following Blossoms' tribute to the band during their secret set at Reading, Leeds festival came together to remember the late Viola Beach, whose deaths rocked the music industry earlier this year, by showing a heartfelt film about the band on the main stage screens.
Taking place prior to The Vaccines' 6pm set, the stage announcer introduced the clip, featuring audio interviews with frontman Kris Leonard, footage from their performance at last year's Reading & Leeds festival, and tributes from Steve Lamacq and Huw Stephens, as being "made in memory of the boys that sing." After the video came to an end, the full clip of the Warrington band playing second single Boys That Sing at a BBC Maida Vale session was shown.
